These are head circumference measurements, not helmet interior or flat measurements. Head shape also affects fit, so use this model’s chart rather than relying only on your usual size.

Head shape: Intermediate oval

Slightly longer from front to back than from side to side. Head circumference and head shape both matter when choosing your fit.

PCM fitting advice

Based on our fitting experience in the shop:

  • Ghost Bandit: generally fits about one size large compared with your usual helmet size.
  • MOD Bandit: generally fits about half a size roomier than the Ghost Bandit.
  • Journey: generally fits true to size.
  • Outlaw Bandit Gen.2: generally fits true to size. All Outlaw helmets sold by PCM are Gen.2.

Simpson models may look similar and share the Bandit name, but they fit differently from one another. If you have tried one Simpson model and are considering another, we strongly recommend coming into the shop to try that specific model as well. Do not assume the same labelled size will fit the same across models.

These are general fit observations, not an automatic instruction to choose a smaller size. Head shape affects fit. Use the chart as a starting point and ask PCM about sizing below if you need help.

PCM fitting advice: the MOD Bandit generally fits about half a size roomier than the Ghost Bandit. See our model-by-model fit notes above and ask us to confirm your choice if you are unsure.

How to measure your head

Wrap a soft measuring tape around your head above your eyebrows and ears, passing over your temples and around the widest part of your head. Keep it level and snug without pulling it tight. Repeat the measurement to check it. Include your measurement and any pressure-point or fit concerns when asking PCM for sizing help.
