This 1948 Harley-Davidson Hummer is one of those rare vintage machines that immediately draws a crowd — not because it’s loud or fast, but because it tells a story. It’s lightweight, charming, and full of the quirky engineering that makes the early Harley two-strokes such sought-after collectibles today.
This bike was purchased by its second owner in the late 1960s and underwent a full restoration in the early 1990s. From there, it enjoyed a carefully maintained life indoors — displayed in showrooms, used as a prop in menswear stores, and featured at festivals like Riverfest and Bluesfest. It was never abused or left to deteriorate. Mechanically, it has been ridden sparingly over the years only to circulate fuel and keep everything fresh.
The Hummer is a beautifully simple machine: a 125cc two-stroke single, a left-hand kickstart, rubber-band girder suspension, and an unmistakable silhouette that often makes even seasoned riders do a double take. It’s light, easy to maneuver, and an ideal display piece for any collector, shop, or private collection.
One of the best parts of this particular bike’s history is its unexpected brush with fame:
Jay Leno rode this exact Hummer onto a stage during a performance in Niagara Falls in the mid-1990s.
He borrowed it from the Eagle’s Nest Motorcycle Shop, where it was displayed after its restoration. The small scratch on the rear fender? That’s from Jay bottoming out the seat. A tiny piece of comedy and motorcycle history all in one.
Collectors will appreciate the hard-to-find original ammeter — a component that is highly sought after on its own and often sells for impressive prices. The bike also retains the iconic features that make these early Hummers such fun, including the oil-cap filler, the compact Sportster-style tank, and that unmistakable two-stroke character.
This Hummer has spent most of its life being appreciated rather than ridden. It has been cared for by its current owner for the last 14 years, serving as both a display and a sentimental piece — even helping spark a family member’s path to getting their motorcycle license.
Whether you’re a vintage Harley collector, a fan of unusual motorcycles, or someone looking for a standout display piece, this is a rare opportunity to own a well-documented, beautifully preserved 1948 Harley-Davidson Hummer with a story unlike any other.

Guardian Bell – Motorcycle Gremlin Bell – Ride Safe, Ward Off the Road Spirits
Regular price $26.95🚚 Free Canada-wide shipping on orders over $199 (excluding oversized items)
There’s a reason every rider knows and respects the legend of the Guardian Bell. When you mount this little bell onto your ride, you're doing more than just accessorizing—you’re joining a long-standing tradition of safety, brotherhood, and good karma on two wheels.
The Story & the Ritual
Decades ago, riders swore by the gremlin myth: mischievous spirits lurking on the open road, ready to sneak up on your bike and cause trouble. The bell? It’s the trap. Hang it low on your frame or swingarm, and the rumbling of the engine and the constant ringing keep those road gremlins busy until they slip off—never to bother you again.
And here’s the key: the power of this bell isn’t just in brass and steel—it’s in the gift. Someone who cares about you gives you this bell. That handshake, that nod between riders, the “ride safe” promise—all of it fuels the legend. Because you didn’t buy protection, you were given a shield.

Perth County Moto Sizing Guide — MotoGirl Lara Cargo Pants
We've sized a lot of women into the Lara Cargo pants — enough to know this fit better than almost anyone outside of MotoGirl's own team. So instead of sending you to the official size chart and crossing our fingers, we've put together our own guide based on what actually works for our customers.
The key: size by your lower hip measurement — not your natural waist. MotoGirl's chart is based on natural waist, but the Lara's fit is really determined by the hip. Grab a soft tape measure, wrap it around the fullest part of your hips and bum, and use that number with the size chart in the product images. Our chart already has the sizing dialled in, so order exactly what it tells you — no need to size up on top of our recommendation.
The Lara's will also relax slightly after about an hour of wear, so if you're right on the border between two sizes, go with the one that fits your hip best and use the waist adjusters to dial in the fit at the waist.
Lindz wears a size 2XL in the Lara Cargo pants with a natural waist (39") and hip (44"). She is 5'9" and wears the regular inseam with a bit of length to spare! The tall inseam works well for anyone 5'10" & up. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Lara Cargo Black Trousers
It's no secret who these cargo trousers were named after and once you put these on, you'll feel as kick-ass & adventurous as her when you're on your bike! These Lara's are great with boots, or long enough to go over ankle boots or shoes. Wear as casual when off the bike, they will become your favourite trousers!
