You can pull firmly on the knob and they will lock into place, once locked open let the bike warm-up for a few minutes. To shut off the choke, Press it into its seated position.
These will fit the dual and single carb Honda VLX, VT600, and the single and dual carb VT750, as well as the VT1100 and VTX1300. If your stock air filter box is installed, accessing the choke will be near impossible. These are best paired with the TJ Brutal velocity stack intakes!

Kit features CNC machined, powder-coated steel mounting bracket that is proudly made in the USA. Included mounting hardware fits into recessed holes to provide a proper sealing surface for the included filter element.
Kit includes both a hotrod-inspired Tri-Bar wing bolt and standard round head screw hardware. This ultra-compact kit is designed to fit all Harley Davidson® Big Twin and Sportster models using factory CV Carburetors or factory electronic fuel injection (EFI) units (excluding Throttle by Wire models).
This kit will not fit 1995-2001 HD Big Twin models equipped with Magneti Marelli fuel injection units using dual bore throttle bodies. This kit will also not fit Harley FBW models (a.k.a. Fly By Wire or Throttle by Wire) as commonly found on late model EFI Twincam FLT touring and all Milwaukee 8 engine models (M8 Softail and Touring).
If installing on models using a CV carburetor, it is highly recommended to use it in conjunction with a support bracket for longevity. See TC Bros. SKU #109-0083 for Sportster models. A support bracket is not required on EFI models. Note: EVO Big Twins and 1991-up Sportsters also require crankcase breathers. See TC Bros. SKU #109-0082.
These boots are a common cause of issues on the Honda Shadow. Eventually, the rubber will dry out and form small cracks that can be hard to find. Causing issues with how the engine runs. You can spend a lot of time troubleshooting and searching for the issue before realizing that it is these boots. If you are removing your carbs and still have the original boots, we suggest changing them.
INSTALLATION TIP! When installing your new intake boot, put a tiny bit of grease on your finger and apply a thin film to the inside surface of both ends of the carb boot and the carb flange. This makes installation a breeze and you won't be fighting friction!

Does not fit VT700 or VT500 models. This kit is intended to work with our velocity stacks and exhaust for VT600 and VT750 carbureted models. This kit may work with other aftermarket intakes and aftermarket exhaust systems that are more free flowing than stock.
Our new kits have been upgraded with complete slide assemblies so you wont need to follow the below instructions unless you have one of our older versions of this kit.
You will need to remove the two plastic retainer rings on your stock slide in order to install the new diaphragms. A small set of dikes is all that's needed to clip them off. Install the diaphragm gently from the top of the slide. Be careful they can tear easily if you muscle them too hard or install them from the bottom. This diaphragm will hold itself in place in the channel at the top of your slide. When re-installing your slides, make sure the vent hole at the bottom of the slide is facing the cylinder head side of the carb.
Be very careful when installing these diaphragms, they are fragile and soft and can tear very easily. Once the old diaphragm is removed, install the new diaphragm from the top of the slide don't attempt to shove the thing up from the bottom of the slide. This will guarantee you tear the slide! Use your fingernail to gently push the inner rib into the channel at the top of the slide. again the key word here is GENTLE!

Get rid of your cracked and leaking rubber intake manifolds and replace them with our super trick CNC machined billet aluminum racing intakes. These are very sturdy and improve flow to your motor. They are perfect when installing aftermarket carbs. Your stock rubber intakes are not designed to support the weight your carbs without your stock airboxes installed, causing them to crack over time. Our aluminum intakes are much stronger and will not crack.

These carbs are specifically designed and tuned for Yamaha XS650 motorcycles. These carbs have the proper slide, needle, needle jet required for your XS650 application. The carbs will come pre-jetted for immediate bolt on installation. We include several different main and pilot jets for you to fine tune your carburetors to your application (depending on what performance upgrades you have done such as air filters, exhaust, cam, big bore kit).
Beware of cheaper kits on ebay and other sites that simply take cheaper 2 Stroke snowmobile carbs and try to jet them by choking down the main jet.You will never be able to tune the carburetor properly if you do not install the correct slide, needle, and needle jet for four stroke (XS650) applications. We have taken the time to test these carbs on several of our personal bikes to figure out the correct internal parts to make them perform the best for your XS650.
Also included with this kit is a throttle cable that works with your stock throttle housing on your 1976-1984 XS650 (will also work with TC Bros. 7/8 Throttle Assembly)
These are the proper right and left handed versions. One of each so the idle speed adjusting screws are on the outside of each carb for easy adjustment.
Although these will fit any 1970-1983 XS650 engine with 1980-83 style rubber manifolds installed, we highly recommend the TC Bros XS650 Billet Aluminum Intake Manifold to complete your installation of these carbs. Your stock rubber intakes are not designed to support your carbs without your stock airboxes installed causing them to crack over time. Our aluminum intakes are much stronger and will not crack. Please note that 1970-79 models came with 38mm manifolds from the factory and will require replacement with 34mm manifolds.
