TJ Brutal Complete Performance Carb Rebuild Kit - Honda ShadowRegular price $320.00
This Complete Performance Rebuild Kit is the only carburetor rebuild kit that includes literally everything you need to get your carburetors in the absolute best performing condition!
If you pick up one of these rebuild kits you do NOT need a tuning kit as well.
Your carburetors can be a daunting task and even more so when you don't have the proper parts. That great barn find that has 200 miles on it has been sitting with carbs full of ancient fossil fuels for 15 years and now she's yours. Why mess around with trying to use corroded parts and old rubber seals when you can easily replace them and eliminate these parts as a source of tuning headaches?!?! With this kit you can rebuild your own carbs to better than new condition!
Does not fit VT700 or VT500 models.
This kit is intended to work with our velocity stacks and exhaust for VT600 and VT750 carbureted models. This kit may work with other aftermarket intakes and aftermarket exhaust systems that are more free flowing than stock.
Kit contains -
Our new kits have been upgraded with complete slide assemblies so you wont need to follow the below instructions unless you have one of our older versions of this kit.
You will need to remove the two plastic retainer rings on your stock slide in order to install the new diaphragms. A small set of dikes is all that's needed to clip them off. Install the diaphragm gently from the top of the slide. Be careful they can tear easily if you muscle them too hard or install them from the bottom. This diaphragm will hold itself in place in the channel at the top of your slide. When re-installing your slides, make sure the vent hole at the bottom of the slide is facing the cylinder head side of the carb.
Be very careful when installing these diaphragms, they are fragile and soft and can tear very easily.
Once the old diaphragm is removed, install the new diaphragm from the top of the slide don't attempt to shove the thing up from the bottom of the slide. This will guarantee you tear the slide! Use your fingernail to gently push the inner rib into the channel at the top of the slide. again the key word here is GENTLE!

Some riders may find that the rear pipe sits too close to the side cover, we recommend trimming the side cover back using a dremel tool.
Each set includes hardware.
Does not include exhaust gaskets.
Does not include brass tips.
*WILL NOT FIT-
If your bike has the plastic right side engine cover like the bike in this video - 04 Up Backdraft , THESE WILL FIT YOUR BIKE.
All pipes are handmade and will have minor differences from set to set, being the nature of custom handmade parts. You may see some plating differences and weld differences, but all pipes have been inspected to make sure they will have a long life on your bike. Color change is normal, even when plated as they are single wall exhaust.
It is up to you to know your local laws and regulations. We cannot advise you on what is legal. These are open pipes and they are not quiet. While wrapping pipes is a cool look, it will void a warranty
