TC Bros steel weld-in petcock bungs are essential components for custom motorcycle fuel tank and oil tank fabrication. These precision-manufactured NPT (National Pipe Thread) bungs provide secure, leak-proof mounting points for petcocks and tank fittings. Available in 1/4" and 3/8" NPT sizes to accommodate different petcock and fitting requirements.
1/4" NPT: The 1/4" NPT size is the most common size for motorcycle fuel tank petcocks and oil tank fittings. This size works with standard petcocks and provides adequate flow for most applications. If you're replacing an existing petcock or using a standard aftermarket petcock, 1/4" NPT is likely the correct size.
3/8" NPT: The 3/8" NPT size offers a larger opening for higher flow applications or when using specific fittings that require the larger thread size. This size is ideal for custom applications, larger displacement engines, or when maximum fuel flow is desired. Always verify your petcock or fitting thread size before ordering.
NPT (National Pipe Thread) threads are tapered, meaning the diameter gradually decreases along the length of the threads. This tapered design is critical for creating a leak-proof seal. As you tighten an NPT fitting into an NPT bung, the tapered threads wedge together, creating a tight, sealed connection.
Important: NPT threads are ONLY designed to be used with corresponding NPT threaded fittings or pipe. Do not attempt to use standard bolts, machine screws, or non-NPT hardware with these bungs, as they will not seal properly and may leak.

Safety Warning: Welding on fuel tanks is extremely dangerous if not done properly. Fuel vapors can ignite or explode. Only qualified professionals should weld on fuel tanks. Always follow proper safety procedures including complete fuel drainage, tank purging, and ventilation.

The m.unit Cable Kit is a ready-made set of cables to aid in the assembly of a wiring harness.
This cable kit consists of top-grade copper-strand cables and will help you do quick work of creating a new wiring harness.
The different cable diameters and colors are ideally suited for application in connection with the m.unit. Their number and length are sufficient for most models.
Non-professionals would have to put serious effort into an equivalent assembly.
Additionally, the kit contains multiple cable ties and cable end sleeves. Altogether 1 kg of cables and materials.

Another innovation from motogadget: the m.button.
It's a big help - in combination with the new m.unit blue, basic, and m.unit v.2 - in reducing 'cable clutter' and simplifying wiring harnesses.
Integrated into the handlebar tube - or any other adequate location - this tiny cylinder will electrically connect all handlebar instruments, switches, and buttons.
Using state-of-the-art bus technology, the m.button digitally processes signals and transmits them to the m.unit over a thin cable.
The electrical consumers will then be switched inside the m.unit.
All control wires are moved into the handlebar. This saves space, weight, labour, and time. A 'must have' for custom bikes with clean-look handlebars.
In simple facts:
a) normally, the operating current (e.g. headlight or turn signals) is transmitted directly via the wiring of the handlebar switches. Due to the high currents, cables with large cross-sections have to be routed from the fuse box to the switch and back to the electrical consumer.
The result: big cable bundles. Definitely, a 'no go' for custom bikes with restricted space or a concealed electrical system.
b) using the m.unit without the m.button, just a thin cable for each switch- or button-controlled feature has to be routed to the m.unit. These cables only carry minute control currents. All high loads and currents are switched directly at the m.unit and transmitted directly to the electrical consumers. This already leads to a significant reduction and simplification of the wiring harness. Here you can see the example of a circuit diagram.
c) using the m.unit blue, basic, or m.unit v.2 in combination with the tiny m.button, you will once again reduce the number of cables that have to be routed! All switches/buttons on the handlebar are connected at the shortest distance possible and concealed inside the handlebar. Consequently, you will have to route only ONE thin cable from the m.button to the m.unit. All loads and currents will be switched directly at the m.unit (see explanations above). A layout reduced to the max! Here you can see the example of a circuit diagram with the use of m.button
The m.button is completely moulded in, making it water-tight and resistant to vibrations.
