ORIGINAL KREEM TANK PREP - Tank Wash & Conditioner

KREEM FUEL TANK LINER is designed for use as a preventive maintenance product in metal tanks new and old; containing gasoline, gasohol, or diesel. KREEM TANK LINER has a unique formulation with an extremely rapid set-up that prevents leakage from hairline cracks and seam pinholes by coating the tank's inner surface with a fuel resistant elastomer. Not for plastic tanks. KREEM is NOT compatible with all fibreglass tanks. You must spot test before use. Read the Kreem brochure for detailed application instructions.

Storage & Handling:

Store product at 60-80 degrees for maximum storage life. High temperatures reduce normal storage life. Lower temperatures cause increased viscosity of a temporary nature. Rotate stock on a first in - first out basis.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation:

It is critical that the inside of the tank has an oil-free surface without rust to ensure proper adhesion. We recommend Kreem Tank-Prep Kit A & B, our two-part system for rust removal and metal etching.

1. Wash out the tank with hot soapy water. If the tank is badly rusted and has loose flaky rust add stones or nuts and bolts and agitate to remove the loose rust. For new tanks, it is important to remove the oily protective coating. An industrial-strength detergent or a commercial degreaser/cleaner like KREEM new Tank Cleaner/Degreaser, acetone, M.E.K. should be used.
   
   
2.  After completing Step 1, and to obtain maximum adhesion, the surface rust should be removed and the metal surface etched, this can be accomplished by using Kreem Tank Prep A & B Kit, or some other acid-based rust remover that also etches metal. Repeat if necessary until all rust is removed.
   
   
3. Rinse the tank with water until all traces of Tank-Prep A (acid etch) are removed. Drain out excess water. Using Tank-Prep B (acetone or M.E.K.) rinse thoroughly removing trace amounts of water. CAUTION: these chemicals are flammable. The tank is now ready for immediate coating.
   

How to Apply

1. Shake or stir well before use. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Stop all outlets except fill spout.
   
   
2. Pour Liner into the tank and coat the entire inner surface by slowly rotating the tank in all directions. When all surfaces have been completely coated, a generous excess should remain. Let tank stand for 8-10 minutes with spout open, then close spout and slowly rotate tank allowing excess to re-coat all surfaces. Let the tank stand for an additional 8-10 minutes with spout open, however, this time on a different side. Repeat this until the tank has the desired coating. Do not allow the coating to drain to one area and dry. Drain off excess coating for later use.
   
   
3. Drain any excess, remove all stops and allow to air-dry in a well-ventilated area for at least 24 hours. A nozzle from a low-pressure air compressor blowing lightly into the fuel spout and out another opening will greatly reduce setup time.
   
   
4. For extra protection, air-dry first coat for 6 hours or longer and repeat step 2 of the application process.
   

Quantity Required

For small tanks (1-5 gallons) use one pint liner. For larger tanks, use one quart per 20 gallon of tank capacity. If the tank contains baffles, be sure to consider the increase in surface area. For spraying or brushing thin with methyl ethyl ketone to desired consistency. Remove the tank from the vehicle, remove any valves and petcocks, and stop all outlets.

Kreem Fuel Tank Liner is designed for use as a preventative maintenance product in metal and fiberglass tanks, new or old: containing gasoline, gasohol, or diesel. Kreem Fuel Tank Liner has a unique formulation with extremely rapid set-up, that arrests corrosion, prevents leakage from hairline cracks and seam pinholes by coating the tank’s inner surface with a fuel resistant elastomer. Kreem Fuel Tank Liner contains titanium dioxide which gives a high degree of light reflectance to aid in visual inspection of the tank’s interior during application.

With the advanced formulation of Kreem, you will receive better adhesion qualities and a smoother coating with even faster set-up time. This advance formulation has been developed and tested to withstand most octane boosters. Feel confident using gasohol in your tank with Kreem Fuel Tank Liner as methyl or ethyl alcohol have no effect on the coating.

Kreem Tank Prep is a two component system. The A-Wash will remove any grease or oil film and etch the tank’s inner surface. The B-Wash will aid in this step, plus remove any water still remaining in the tank. The B-Wash also acts as a primer for the Kreem Fuel Tank Liner, so begin the application process immediately.

Auxiliary Fuel Tank

• For use when tuning a machine with the fuel tank removed
• Includes 4' of 1/4" line and 1/4" in-line fuel barb petcock

Heavy Duty Gas Tank Rubber Mounting Kit

The TC Bros. universal fit, weld-on gas tank rubber mounting tabs kit is CNC laser cut from 1/4" thick American made mild steel for easy welding.

The CNC machined, 6061 aluminum tophat style spacers and military spec rubber grommets perform under the most demanding rigid frame applications. Included 5/16"-18 x 1" stainless steel button head mounting bolts look great and are very corrosion resistant.

Commonly used with "Frisco" style fuel tanks, these tabs save you a lot of time on your build while providing you with professional quality results. To install, simply weld the tabs to the backbone of your motorcycle frame, insert the rubber grommets and tophat spacers, then the bolts pass through the tophats and thread into the mounting bungs located on the bottom of your fuel tank (not included).

2.2 Gal Chopper Gas Tank

The tank uses a screw-in-style gas cap and has threaded ports for 1/4" petcocks.

Even though these tanks are pressure tested from the factory. It is recommended to seal any custom tank with a Kreem Tank Sealer Kit before painting. Also, assure there is no stress on the tank mounting hardware when the tank is mounted.

Electronics Tank (Fake Oil Tank)

TC Bros. Custom Chopper/Bobber Electronics Tank that looks like a round oil tank.

The electronics tank is 4.5" diameter and has removable caps (8" long with both end caps installed) for hiding all of your wiring and ignition components while still having access to them. 5/16-18 Mounts are already welded in for you (3.5" center to center spacing) and mounting bolts are included. Parts are made from 16ga steel and are raw finish. The mounting strap is included for you to bolt or weld on. Can fit many other models and applications. The picture shows items mounted on a hardtailed XS650 (bike not included).

Narrow Sporty Tank

2.1 Gallon Narrow Sportster Style Gas Tank with "Frisco Style" low tunnel to let the tank sit high on the backbone. For years, people have been modifying OEM Harley Davidson Peanut Sportster tanks by cutting them in half, narrowing the tank by removing a section of the middle, and welding everything back together. This look is great, but accomplishing this modification on an OEM tank is very labor-intensive. Fear not, for we have your solution at a great price! This tank is 100% brand new construction and has the same shape that is achieved when you modify/narrow an OEM Harley Sportster tank, but without all the work!

The cap bung is set up high (for max fuel capacity) and is a standard OEM Harley cam lock. You can find a chrome gas cap here and a black gas cap here. The 1/4" NPT petcock bung has been placed on the side near the rear of the tank for maximum fuel usage as well. This tank is the highest quality TIG-welded construction and is pressure tested at the factory before shipping. Please see the photos for dimensions.

Wassell Style Peanut Tank (Mid-Tunnel)

Want that timeless "Wassell" styling but don’t want to have to deal with overpaying for a leaky rusty tank at a swap meet? TC Bros. has your solution! The 2 gallon "Wassell" Peanut Bobber Tank.

This tank features a "frisco" style mid tunnel so that the tank sits just right on the backbone of your frame. Un-drilled front and rear universal mounting tabs keep mounting this tank simple. Popular screw-in-style gas cap bung, single 3/8" NPT and dual rear 1/4" NPT petcock bungs give you plenty of options for petcocks and gas caps. You can't go wrong with this classic styled gas tank!

Even though these tanks are pressure tested from the factory. We recommend sealing any custom tank with Kreem Tank Sealer before painting! It is cheap insurance and we use it on every bike that we build. Also, assure the tank is properly isolated so there is no unnecessary stress placed on the tank our mounting hardware when the tank is mounted. We highly recommend using the gas tank mounting kit for proper installation.

This tank does not fit 2004-newer Sportsters as the backbone tube is too large in diameter. 

Mid Tunnel Tank dimensions are as follows; Tunnel Width 2 1/8", Length 15 1/2", Depth 2" in the rear, approx. 4" in the front.

Custom Peanut Gas Tank for Honda Shadow VT600 VLX 88-07

This custom made gas tank for the Honda Shadow VLX, aka Honda Shadow VT600 fits your bikes dual backbone perfectly! Includes TJ Brutal Customs gas cap!

This is not a Sporty tank that has been hacked apart, no, this tank sits perfectly on the back of your bike, is made by hand and will last for years to come.

To mount the tank, set the tank on your bike, loosely thread the rear tank mount to the stock rear tank mounting hole.  Look at the forward mounting tab, It will be over the hole in your frame that you need to open up to slightly bigger than 3/8". Take the tank off the bike, carefully drill your forward mounting tab hole, and bolt the tank on!

Perth County Moto X Savage Customs Sporty Tank

It's the collab you've been waiting for! PCM and Savage Customs have partnered to bring you this piece of art. Our good pal Jamie, over at Savage Customs, has been mixing up Kandy paints and metal flakes. He's laid down this one-off original paint job on a Sporty-style frisco tank. Bolt this onto your current bike to take it up a notch or use this as your starting point for a new project!

What the hell did Jamie do!? 

He went to town as he always does! The tank is black with panels of deep orange/red Kandy with a textured effect. It has pearly peach designs and is trimmed with silver flake pin stripping. The tank has an official collab badge painted in peach at the back. As always, Jamie has finished it all off with a polish that makes the paint look as deep as the Mariana Trench! 

There is only one of these sweet ladies in existence so don't waste too much time thinking about it!!
