Even though these tanks are pressure tested from the factory. We recommend sealing any custom tank with Kreem Tank Sealer before painting. It is cheap insurance and we use it on every bike that we build. Also, assure there is no stress on the tank mounting hardware when the tank is mounted.
This tank sits very low on the backbone of your motorcycle frame. Please check measurements to make sure this will fit your bike before purchasing. Does not fit on a Yamaha XS650 (hits top motor mount)
This tank does not fit 2004-newer Sportsters as the backbone tube is too large in diameter.
